After a fantastic response to The Billion Journey Project call for applications, Go-Ahead are very excited to welcome the inaugural 10 innovative businesses onto our first accelerator programme.
The Billion Journey Project selection panel were incredibly impressed with the calibre of applications and quality of the businesses that they met. The initial cohort of 10 businesses all demonstrated:

Commuter Club
CommuterClub is a UK-based financial services company backed by British tennis player Andy Murray that retails and provides loans for annual season tickets, allowing commuters to pay for them in monthly instalments. CommuterClub was founded in 2013 by Petko Plachkov and Imran Gulamhuseinwala. Imran was honoured for his work in the FinTech industry in January 2017 in the Queen's Honour list with an OBE. As of 2016 CommuterClub had over 10,000 customers and £20mn of loans to date.
TravelAI
At TravelAi we bring the consumer into the mobility conversation. Our tools generate unique insights into how people use transport infrastructure, be it private or public modes of transport, foot or mechanised. These insights capture seasonality differences, travel patterns, mode splits, predictability and behaviour shift opportunities beyond the usual transport silos.
